Husqvarna, the Austrian brand known for its electric-powered minicycles, has announced the addition of a new model to its lineup for 2024. The EE 2 is designed to provide a middle ground between a balance bike and a motorcycle, offering young riders a fun and safe way to experience electric mobility.
The EE 2 features an electric motor housed inside the rear wheel hub, which provides a peak power output of 1.8kW. Husqvarna claims that the motor is dustproof, waterproof, and maintenance-free. The bike is powered by Husqvarna's BLi300 battery, which can deliver up to 100 minutes of riding time. The battery can be easily swapped out with a fully charged spare for continuous riding. Charging the standard battery takes 35 minutes to reach 80% capacity and one hour for a full charge.
Designed for young riders between the heights of 2-foot-11 and 4-foot-3, and weighing a maximum of 77 pounds, the EE 2 offers adjustable seat height and suspension. The nonadjustable WP hydraulic fork and preload-adjustable WP 34mm hydraulic shock can be adjusted to accommodate different rider heights. The frame and swingarm are constructed of aluminum for durability and lightweight.
The EE 2 features three power modes that can be selected using a multifunctional display unit. These modes include walking speed, medium power with a top speed of 12 mph, and full power with a top speed of 21 mph. The bike is equipped with hydraulic brakes with 140mm discs, 10-inch aluminum wheels, and Kenda tires for reliable stopping power and traction. The EE 2 weighs in at 64 pounds, making it easy for young riders to handle.
Husqvarna's commitment to e-powered mobility for kids is evident in the addition of the EE 2 to its lineup. With its innovative design and features, the EE 2 offers young riders a thrilling and safe way to experience the joy of electric-powered minicycles.
