As we enter February 2024, motorcycle enthusiasts in Japan are gearing up for the highly anticipated motorcycle show season. The 2024 Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya Motorcycle Shows have already announced their calendar dates, ensuring that each event is perfectly coordinated and none of the weekends overlap.
The motorcycle show season will kick off in Osaka on the weekend of March 15 through 17. Tokyo's show will follow, starting on March 22 and running through March 24. Finally, the Nagoya show will take place from April 5 through 7, 2024. Ticket prices, availability, and purchasing methods vary, so it is advisable to visit the official website of the show you are interested in for detailed information.
Both Yamaha and Honda have started preparations for the 2024 Japanese Motorcycle Show season. Yamaha has even launched a dedicated website to keep enthusiasts informed about their offerings during the shows. They are also encouraging fans to submit photos of themselves with their Yamaha bikes, which will be used to create a giant mosaic displayed at their booth. The submission period for these selfies opened on January 31, 2024, and will run until February 25, 2024.
Yamaha has also provided a sneak peek of the models they plan to showcase during the three motorcycle shows. The lineup includes popular models such as the 2024 Yamaha YZF-R1, MT-07, MT-09 (new release), XSR700, and Ténéré 700, among many others.
On the other hand, Honda has opened a website dedicated to show preview news, but as of February 1, 2024, they have not yet posted a confirmed model lineup. However, there are rumors that two new models, the 2024 Honda CB650R and CBR650R with E-Clutch, could be unveiled at the shows. These bikes were showcased for the first time at EICMA 2023 and come equipped with the innovative E-Clutch system.
The E-Clutch system allows the clutch to be automatically engaged when needed to prevent stalling. However, riders also have the option to manually engage the clutch, making it suitable for riders of all skill levels. Another model that might make an appearance is the GB350 C, which was recently introduced by Honda India as the CB350. Honda Japan teased the possibility of its launch in Japan on their Instagram page, featuring different colors than the ones offered in India.
While we await official confirmation from Honda, motorcycle enthusiasts are eagerly looking forward to attending the 2024 Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya Motorcycle Shows. The shows promise to be an exciting opportunity to witness the latest models, technologies, and trends in the motorcycle industry. If you are planning to attend any of these shows, let us know in the comments what you are most excited to see.
