Isle Of Man TT: Starting Numbers for the Supersport Category Revealed

Isle Of Man TT: Supersport Starting Numbers Announced

The first set of start numbers for the 2024 Isle of Man TT Races has been released, and Paul Jordan from Jackson Racing will be carrying the number 1 plate in the opening Monster Energy Supersport Race. This will be the first time the Northern Irishman will have the honor of bearing the number 1 plate as he aims to progress in the middleweight class with the Jackson Racing team.

Following closely behind him is Jamie Coward, the double and reigning Privateers' champion, who has moved up to number 2 this year. Despite achieving significant success last year, Coward and the KTS team have decided to switch from Yamaha to Triumph power for the upcoming 2024 season.

Dean Harrison, the third fastest rider in the class, will start following Coward. This year marks the first time since 2018 that Harrison hasn't started in the second position, and he will be hoping that his move to Honda Racing UK will help him replicate his Supersport success from 2018.

Ian Hutchinson, a TT returnee and 7-time Supersport race winner, will be reuniting with the Milenco by Padgett’s Motorcycles team and will start at number 4. James Hillier, a 5-time podium finisher in the class, has also reunited with a former team and will start ten seconds later.

Michael Dunlop, starting from number 6, will undoubtedly attract a lot of attention. With four victories in 2023, he will be aiming to equal Joey Dunlop's record tally of 26 TT wins. With his impressive track record, Dunlop will be a top contender for the upcoming race.

Other notable competitors include Josh Brookes starting from number 7 with the Boyce Precision Engineering by Russell Racing Yamaha, and Davey Todd starting from number 8 on the Powertoolmate Ducati Panigale V2.

Craig Neve earned his first ever top-10 position and will start at number 9 on a Triumph 765 RS, followed by Peter Hickman. Conor Cummins and David Johnson will start at numbers 11 and 12, respectively.

The top 20 lineup for the two 4-lap Monster Energy Supersport Races at the 2024 Isle of Man TT Races includes a mix of experienced riders and up-and-coming talent, all ready to showcase their skills on the challenging course.
