New Zealand-based electric motorcycle startup, FTN Motion, is planning to launch its flagship Streetdog motorcycle in Australia in 2024. The Streetdog is a moped-class e-motorcycle with a classic cafe racer feel and offers a range of up to 80 kilometers. It features a 3kW electric motor, a 2.9kWh lithium-ion battery, and has a top speed of 50km/h. The motorcycle also includes a touch screen display, alarm-activated wheel lock, and regenerative braking. FTN Motion aims to expand overseas and is starting an equity crowdfunding campaign to raise NZ$3 million to scale its assembly capacity for launching in Australia and Europe. They will be showcasing the Streetdog in Sydney and Melbourne from October 11-17, 2021.
