Suzuki Expands 2024 V-Strom 800 Lineup with New Touring Model

Suzuki Motor USA has announced the launch of the 2024 V-Strom 800 Touring, the latest addition to the brand's family of mid-size adventure bikes.

The new Touring model joins the existing V-Strom 800 and V-Strom 800DE, further expanding Suzuki's 800-level V-Strom lineup to four models. Priced at $10,499, the V-Strom 800 Touring is now available for customers seeking a more road-focused adventure bike.

At the heart of the Touring is Suzuki's new 776cc parallel-twin engine, which made its debut in late 2022 powering the brand's first two upper-midsize V-Stroms. This compact and versatile powerplant has since found its way into Suzuki's GSX-8R and GSX-8S models as well.

As its name implies, the Touring variant is designed with long-distance comfort and convenience in mind. It rolls on specialized Dunlop D614 tires, sized 110/80-19 up front and 150/70-17 at the rear. Furthering its touring-oriented capabilities, the V-Strom 800 Touring also comes standard with a 35-liter top case.

Suzuki has equipped the Touring with a suite of rider-assist technologies, including a bidirectional quickshifter, ride-by-wire throttle, and the brand's Intelligent Ride System. A modern 5-inch TFT display and LED lighting round out the standard features.

The bike's suspension consists of a Showa SFF-BP fork with spring preload adjustability and a Showa shock with preload and rebound damping adjustment. Braking is handled by a Nissin setup with selectable ABS functionality.

Suzuki offers a comprehensive catalog of accessories to further personalize the V-Strom 800 Touring for adventure, with options ranging from side cases and protection components to fog lamps and heated grips. The 2024 model will be available exclusively in a Glass Sparkle Black color.

With the introduction of the Touring variant, Suzuki's 800-level V-Strom lineup has grown to a total of four models, providing a range of options to suit diverse riding preferences and needs.
