One of the most cherished MotoGP tracks is making a triumphant comeback in 2025 as the Czech Grand Prix at Brno rejoins the racing schedule following a four-year hiatus. In a recent press conference, it was officially announced that the historic track will be back on the calendar next season, with a deal secured until at least 2029.
The track, known for its rich history and thrilling races, had been sidelined due to safety concerns related to low grip levels and the urgent need for a complete resurfacing. Formerly owned by the Abraham family, who sold the venue in 2023, it has now found new ownership under Karel Hubacek of the Shakai company.
Thanks to a partnership with Czech bank Creditas and the dedication of key stakeholders, including Czech Autoclub president Jan Stovicek, the revitalization of the track is well underway. Hubacek expressed gratitude to all those involved in bringing back the beloved Masaryk Circuit, emphasizing the collaborative effort.
With government and regional support, coupled with potential backing from motorcycle enthusiast and Czech president Petr Pavel, the return of MotoGP to Brno seems more promising than ever. Fans can anticipate an exceptional racing experience as preparations progress for the anticipated revival of this iconic racing venue.
