Triumph's New Entry-Level 400 Series: Affordable and Powerful

Triumph has recently introduced its latest entry-level motorcycles, the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X. Developed in collaboration with Bajaj, these bikes offer a combination of affordability and performance. Powered by an all-new fuel-injected and liquid-cooled 398cc single-cylinder engine, both models deliver an impressive 39.5 hp and 27.7 lb-ft of torque.

The Speed 400 features a 43mm inverted fork, a traditional shock, and lightweight 17-inch wheels. It boasts four-piston radial front brakes with a 300mm front disc, providing excellent stopping power. With an upright rider geometry, a seat height of 31 inches, and a compact 54.2-inch wheelbase, it offers a comfortable and nimble riding experience. The bike weighs a respectable 375 pounds, making it manageable for riders of all levels.

On the other hand, the Scrambler 400 X is designed for adventure riding, featuring a longer 55.8-inch wheelbase, longer-travel suspension, and a larger 19-inch front wheel. It is equipped with wide handlebars, a robust steel brake pedal, and high-grip footpegs to enhance off-road capabilities. The Scrambler 400 X also incorporates a larger 320mm front brake disc for improved stopping performance. With a weight of 395 pounds, it strikes a balance between agility and stability.

Both models come with ride-by-wire throttle and traction control, giving riders added confidence and control. Standard features include Bosch dual-channel ABS, LED headlights, and a torque-assist clutch for smooth shifting. The Speed 400 is available in multiple color options, including Carnival Red/Storm Grey, Caspian Blue/Storm Grey, and Phantom Black/Storm Grey. The Scrambler 400 X offers Matte Khaki Green/Fusion White, Carnival Red/Phantom Black, and Phantom Black/Silver Ice as its color choices.

These new Triumph 400 series motorcycles offer an enticing combination of power, affordability, and versatility, making them attractive options for riders looking to enter the world of motorcycling.
