Kyle Larson Set for Indy-Charlotte ‘Double’ in 2025

Kyle Larson Set for Indy-Charlotte ‘Double’ in 2025

Kyle Larson is gearing up for an ambitious racing challenge in 2025, as he aims to compete in the iconic Indy-Charlotte “Double.” The Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team and Hendrick Motorsports confirmed on September 10 that Larson will return to the Indianapolis 500, scheduled for May 25, 2025. This marks his second attempt at the grueling double-header, which involves racing 1,100 miles across two prestigious events on Memorial Day weekend.

Last May, Larson made a memorable debut at the Indy 500, earning Rookie of the Year honors after qualifying fifth and finishing 18th. Unfortunately, weather delays prevented him from participating in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway later that day. Reflecting on his previous experience, Larson expressed his excitement for the upcoming races, stating, “I really enjoyed the Month of May in Indy but was disappointed to miss the Coca-Cola 600. I appreciate the second opportunity because we have unfinished business.”

Larson will drive the No. 17 HendrickCars.com Arrow McLaren Chevrolet, owned by NASCAR Hall of Famer Rick Hendrick. He joins a talented lineup that includes Pato O’Ward, Nolan Siegel, and Christian Lundgaard. With a renewed focus and valuable lessons from last year, Larson is determined to complete the double and contend for victories in both events. His participation is highly anticipated, as he aims to make history alongside racing legends who have attempted this challenging feat.
