SUZUKI INTRODUCES 2024 V-STROM 800 & V-STROM 800 TOURING

SUZUKI INTRODUCES 2024 V-STROM 800 & V-STROM 800 TOURING

Suzuki is expanding its lineup for 2024 with the introduction of two new models, the V-Strom 800 and the V-Strom 800 Touring. These bikes offer riders exciting options for both street performance and long-distance touring.

The V-Strom 800 is designed to provide a more affordable option for riders who prioritize street performance. It features several changes from the existing V-Strom 800DE model, including a shift from wire wheels to cast alloys, a 19-inch front wheel instead of a 21-incher, lower suspension, and the removal of off-road elements such as hand guards and engine guards. As a result, the V-Strom 800 is lower, lighter, and more budget-friendly, with an MSRP of $9,899 compared to $11,349 for the DE model. The bike retains the core elements of the V-Strom 800, including the 776cc DOHC parallel twin engine with a 270-degree crank and Suzuki Cross Balancer twin balancer shafts for a smooth ride. Power and torque remain unchanged, and the lower weight of the V-Strom 800 gives it a slight edge in performance over the DE model.

For riders seeking a touring-focused adventure, Suzuki offers the V-Strom 800 Touring. This variant is essentially the same as the base model but includes additional features to enhance long-distance capability. Priced at $10,499, the V-Strom 800 Touring comes with a 35-liter top case for added storage and brings back the hand guards for increased protection during extended rides.

Both the V-Strom 800 and the V-Strom 800 Touring come with a range of features to enhance the riding experience. They feature ABS as standard, with two levels of sensitivity, and offer various riding modes to adapt to different road conditions. The bikes are equipped with cast aluminum alloy wheels, with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear combination, providing increased street performance compared to the DE model. The suspension setup is optimized for on-road use, with the V-Strom 800 Touring offering adjustable preload and rebound damping.

In terms of aesthetics, the V-Strom 800 and V-Strom 800 Touring share similar bodywork, with the Touring variant offering additional color options. Both models feature a 5-inch color TFT display, three riding modes, traction control modes, and bidirectional quickshift. LED headlights are standard on both models.

Overall, Suzuki's 2024 V-Strom 800 lineup provides riders with options tailored to their riding preferences, whether it's focused on street performance or long-distance touring. These motorcycles offer a combination of power, agility, and comfort, making them versatile choices for a range of riders.
