Triumph Unveils the 2025 Trident 660 Tribute Special Edition: A Homage to Racing Heritage

Triumph Unveils the 2025 Trident 660 Tribute Special Edition: A Homage to Racing Heritage

Introducing the 2025 Triumph Trident 660 Tribute Special Edition, a motorcycle that pays homage to Triumph's racing heritage. This special edition model features a race-inspired graphic scheme, Triumph Shift Assist, and a flyscreen.

The Trident 660, released in 2021, revived the iconic Trident name from Triumph's first triple-cylinder motorcycle in 1968. The racing version of the Trident, known as "Slippery Sam," achieved five consecutive Isle of Man Production TT wins from 1971 to 1975. The 2025 Tribute Special Edition celebrates this racing history with a design that pays homage to "Slippery Sam."

Triumph Motorcycles' Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Stroud, highlighted the success of the Trident 660, stating that it has reinvigorated the middleweight roadster category and attracted younger and new riders to Triumph. The Special Edition aims to capture the iconic style, advanced technology, and dynamic performance that appeals to today's Triumph fans.

Powering the Trident 660 is a liquid-cooled 660cc Triple engine, delivering 80 horsepower and 47 lb-ft of torque. It features throttle-by-wire technology with two ride modes (Road and Rain) and comes equipped with ABS, switchable traction control, and a combined TFT and LCD display.

The suspension is provided by Showa, with a 41mm inverted fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Nissin brake calipers grip 310mm discs in the front and a 255mm disc in the rear, while the bike rides on 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels fitted with Michelin Road 5 tires.

The Tribute Special Edition stands out with its white, blue, and red graphic scheme inspired by "Slippery Sam." It also sports a Number 67 race graphic, a flyscreen, and Triumph Shift Assist, enabling clutchless up and down gear changes with an autoblipper for smoother shifts.

The 2025 Triumph Trident 660 Tribute Special Edition will be available for one year only, starting from April 2024, with an MSRP of $8,595.
