Verge Motorcycles Unveils the Technologically Advanced TS Ultra E-Bike with AI and Sensor Technology

Finnish motorcycle brand, Verge Motorcycles, has recently announced the release of its flagship TS Ultra e-bike, equipped with a groundbreaking technology suite that rivals that of Tesla. The TS Ultra, already known for its impressive performance, now features a host of advanced features that make it one of the most technologically advanced production two-wheelers on the market.

The TS Ultra boasts an integrated hub motor inside the rear wheel, generating an equivalent of 201 horsepower (150kW) and 885 pound-feet of torque. Its lightning-fast acceleration allows it to go from zero to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, making it one of the quickest superbikes available. The top speed is limited to 124 mph, likely to ensure the safety of riders given the bike's immense power.

In an effort to prioritize rider safety, Verge has introduced its new Starmatter software as a standard feature on the TS Ultra for 2024. This software includes automatic over-the-air updates (OTA), sensor technology, artificial intelligence, and a Human-Machine-Interface. The highlight of the upgrade is the Starmatter Vision, which consists of six cameras providing a 360-degree view around the bike, along with two high-resolution radars. This suite of technologies enables the TS Ultra to automatically detect potential hazards and provide riders with real-time information about their surroundings, including blind spots. The information is displayed on a bright handlebar display, which can be controlled using dedicated switchgear for ease of use.

Verge's Chief Technology Officer, Marko LehtimΓ€ki, highlights the bike's enhanced safety features, stating, "Verge is making riding even smarter and safer, for example by improving the rider’s ability to observe the environment and the functions of the bike with the help of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The TS Ultra’s new cameras combined with the software update announced today make it the world’s first motorcycle equipped with the sense of sight, advising the rider and acting as a 'whisperer' while riding."

The Verge TS Ultra is priced at $44,900 and is currently available for configuration and ordering. With its advanced technology and impressive performance, the TS Ultra is set to revolutionize the motorcycle industry and provide riders with an unparalleled riding experience.
